It was a good run

I almost didn't post this for the fact that livejournal has seemed to turn into a way for me to vent instead of a real representation of my life. I am posting it anyway because I do feel like I need to get this off my chest as to not be upset about it any longer.

Bioshock 2 online is amazingly fun. I started on it just for the achievements, and ended up playing more for the fun.

It's tough at low ranks (Like, when you have just a pistol as a weapon), but you unlock new weapons and plasmids at a REALLY fast rate, and there are some very interesting plasmid and weapon combos.

I'm very fond of the combination of Houdini (Makes you invisible like the houdini splicers but drains your Eve) plus Eve Saver (plasmids cost less eve), Metabolic Eve (Your body constantly produces Eve) and Backstabber (you do more damage with melee attacks from behind). I love running into a room, vanishing, and then smacking someone in the back of the head while they look for me.

FYI, Houdini Splicer doesn't work so well in ADAM Grab or Capture the Sister. Even though you and the sister will be invisible, it'll still have the icon noting her location.

But it is an excellent plasmid and there are plenty of great combos out there. I honestly have more fun in Bioshock 2's multiplayer than in the actual campaign itself, something that is unheard of for me.

I love houdini for ADAM grab. Yeah, they can track you on the map, but if your team isn't complete boneheads you can Houdini out while your team is distracting the enemy. Sure, they can find you again, but it buys you precious time, and if you can do that 3-4 times you can win a match.

True, but I've yet to be in a game where anyone's even talking to each other. Still, despite the lack of communication I've found groups to work together surprisingly well in Bioshock 2.

Man, this is making me want to play.

As long as the group is around to defend you, you don't have a problem. The lack of communication only serves to help because the enemy can't coordinate or see where you went.

The voice support in the game is AWFUL. I don't even try to use it.
