It’s been ages since I’ve posted one of my humorous little drabbles but, at long last, here is another one. From the Chronicles of Narnia; an alternate look at one of the scenes in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. 100 words, rating R.
The Coming of the White Witch
Jadis shrieked as Aslan’s jaws worked. Her hands clenched in his mane and her legs kicked.
Lucy and Susan gasped in horror and fled from the sight.
“Um, ah,” Edmund said, and then gave up the attempt to speak and joined his sisters in flight.
Peter, although his eyes were wide and his cheeks were flaming red, managed to retain the power of coherent speech. “Aslan,” he began.
“Yes!” Jadis cried, temporarily drowning out Peter’s voice. “Oh, Aslan! Yes! Yes!”
“Uh, Aslan,” Peter continued, “that wasn’t quite what I meant when I suggested that you should eat the White Witch.”
