Recently there have been 2 people trying to prove that they are worth your time. One is trying to make you forget the past, and one would like to be the future. We'll see how this plays out for both of them.
Ralph Nader recently came to speak at UW-EC and I feel terrible for him. He has such good ideas, and all he wants is to be taken seriously. He brings up completely realistic and legitimate goals and ideas for this country.
Empty Out The Prisons Legit. He recognizes that a decent amount (25%?) of the people in them are there on drug possession charges, and that is a waste of their time and more importantly our tax dollars.
Level Out The Democracy Legit. How many people think of parties other than the major two. He should be able to debate them. Any serious candidate should be expected to debate everyone that is running.
Higher Minimum Wage Legit. As one of the most powerful countries in the world shouldn't we be able to have a minimum wage that at least allows everyone to have a fighting chance in our suffering economy?
National Healthcare Legit. I am a little leery of this because I think that quality of the medical care would recede to the point that we would end up just taking care of ourselves, but if he can come up with a realistic plan that includes everyone without actually hanging us out to dry, that'd be awesome.
Aaron Rogers is the new Green Bay Packers quarterback. I hate to make it seem like I really care about football, but he did great. I am so sick of hearing aobut Favre. Have fun in New York I hope you get mugged. Rogers did a fantastic job in his first game and will hopefully signal the end of people caring about Brett Favre. You were cool while you were here, now you aren't so... thanks for coming.
Current Music: The Line Dance Massacre. I am meeting so many people here.
Just a reminder that I have a feedback form you can send to me in the sidebar. I have some new stuff coming for that soon too. Watch for it!
