in review, 2005.

2005 was a very satisfying year. i loved it, but im glad to see it coming to a close.
now, were onto bigger and better things.


1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
piss in a giant flower pot while cars were driving by, drank enough alcohol for it to count as drinking, spent new years without my family and actually missed them, gave someone a GOOD haircut, and more interesting stuff that will come to me later.

2. Did you keep your New Year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
i always start off the year making lots of self-promises and intending to keep them, but they start to fall apart come april. but fo shizzle ill make more this year.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
nope

4. Did anyone close to you die?
My great grandmother passed away

5. What countries did you visit?
FUCKING NO WHERE!!!!

6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
As clichéd as this sound coming from a teenager, more freedom.

7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
february 18, odeum fashion show, pretty much made my highschool career .
april 24, art major moment.
april 30, one of the most bizarre nights in the world, and meeting the some random people.
june 26 (im too lazy to actually confirm this date), good island times with good people and good music.
august 28, the start of something really great.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
establishing my tshirt collection and being recognized for it.

9. What was your biggest failure?
more of a disappointment, there are no solid plans for a grad trip.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
nope. safe and healthy so far.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
i don’t even know. i buy way too much stuff, a lot of which i loose or forget about.

12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
all the good people of my livejournal friends list. : )

13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
like carol, i cant say, cause that is mean.

14. Where did most of your money go?
food, clothing, art projects

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
im a very excitable person, but odeum tops it all.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
creating my own personal art, cause school stuff is shit.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
being critical about appearances and superficial junk.

20. What are you glad you did more of in 2005?
exploring toronto and taking advantage of all that it has to offer.

21. How did you spend Christmas?
this years wasn’t as festive and christmasy as the past years, which made me sad. but i still got a chance to appreciate the traditions and my family.

22. Did you fall in love in 2005?
I don’t know how to answer this question…

23. How many one-night stands?
im sorry... im not that kind of girl.

24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
i wouldn’t say hate, but if i never talked to/saw these few people again, it wouldnt be so bad

25. What was the best book you read?
da vinci code. i dont care what you say, i thought it was good!

26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
wow, my musical taste has broadened so much this year. i appreciate a lot more. so i really dont know how to answer this. i guess broken social scene, because i never really taken it in till this year.

27. What did you want and get?
my own computer and my own space.

28. What did you want and not get?
im a princess and i get EVERYTHING i want.

29. What was your favorite film of this year?
I dont keep track of when movies were released and all that stuff, but i saw some priceless bollywood movies. i love bollywood! too bad their names are so long and i cant remember them.

30. What did you do on your birthday?
woke up in london and spent 24 hours with my sister. i learned to appreciate small town culture and then watched a bad movie.

31. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
being part of claude watson.

32. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005?
maturing.

33. What kept you sane?
great friends, my siblings, and mindless television.

34. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
adrien brody, because hes a talented and beautiful person. And dane cook, because i love him dearly.

35. What political issue stirred you the most?
american environmental ignorance and the genocide in rwanda

36. Who did you miss?
my american cousins who were M.I.A. for christmas

37. Who was the best new person you met?
sean lewis!

38. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005:
“dont treat anything as a precious commodity. everything can be changed. things, people, places, and ugly artwork.” this is the only thing i learned from my painting teacher.

40. What will you be doing to ring in 2006?
hopefully something crazy and memorable and worth every second.
