Steph is Cass's girlfriend. :Db Except they don't get to date in canon because Steph hooked up with Tim first, and also that'd be OMG title character gay. So instead they're BFF! And somehow, after Steph dies (this is one of the many reasons we need to smack DC one), they only get gayer for each other. Seriously.

But! Cass's opinion, not my opinion. [laughs] Cass ♥ Steph. At first, she kind of wrote Steph off as a wannabe, because she only met Steph when Batman told her to prove how much better than Steph she was. (This is one of the many reasons we need to smack Batman one.) But Steph was persistant and kept trying to bond with Cass, which literally nobody else in her canon tries to do. (Except arguably Barbara, but she's Cass's mommy, not her peer.) So she started growing on her.

And eventually there was the amazingly homoerotic sparring session that my icon comes from, in which Cass beat the hell out of Steph and Steph wanted to keep going. Fights make Cass happy. Not being scared of her makes Cass really happy. And that's the point where they become BFF. :Db

Steph is a Good Person, in Cass's estimation. She's not a Jesus by any standards, but she's honest and friendly and straightforward and tries to Do The Right Thing, and basically hits all of Cass's good body language pings, with the bonus of being a fighter who's not scared of Cass. If I'd taken Cass pre-Steph, I honestly don't think she'd bond with anyone in camp except maybe tinyRobin. Steph makes Cass social.

. . . And if not for the fact that Steph's with Tim, Cass is a little special when it comes to romance, and I'm not sure if Steph's body language ever says "I'm hot for you/girls" to Cass, Cass would totally date her. :Db

--Also! What character from any canon do you most want to see in camp, and why?

It changes really often! And a lot of characters would complement characters I want to app, and are thus spoilery. 8| I would love Daria, for example, but she'd be so hard. I'd love the narrator/Tyler Durden from The Fight Club, but again, so hard. And Noodle from Gorillaz, who might be tinyCass. ;D

All these characters kind of speak for themselves as to their interest. Noodle is more because I like to play fast and loose with what's considered a canon, we've had characters from manga, anime, movies, comics, novels, webcomics--WHY NOT FROM A FICTIONAL BAND. Tyler Durden would shake things up enormously and would subvert the pre-established order in CFUD. Meanwhile the people around him would be like wtfbbq why does he act like he's two people. And Daria, we just have no character exactly like her and there's no character like her in any media anyway. :Dd

I desperately want a Shader from Chrno Crusade. This is partly selfish, because I ship Shader/Fiore and Shader is also one of the few CC characters who could show up and not mess with the CC cast in unfixable ways, and partly because Shader would adore camp. She's a cheerful mad-scientist catgirl pedo/lesbian demon. :Db

OH WOW. XD The first that comes to mind is one which was incredibly OOC in my part, but it was so much fun. For Disney weekend, Hatsuharu turned into John Smith from Pocahontas, and Rey turned into a Disney Princess doll. Then they saw each other, Haru licked Emilio who was the toad from another Disney movie, and proceeded to rape all the Disney songs we could remember. One of the verses from "If I never knew you" turned into "If I never knew you/If I'd never licked that toad", so uh. I wish I could explain this.

How long did you lurk around the comm and what made you decide to app?

Ahahaha, I remember reading that one! . . . which segues into the answer for your question; I've been lurking off and on since the comm was created. [laughs] harukami's a friend of mine, so when she posted about it on her journal, I went "huh, sounds interesting, I'll keep an eye on it". And it was awesome! But I prefer playing OCs and my one attempt at apping early on was terrible, and I felt weird about audiencing. So I made one post to the OOC comm way back when, with a Heine/Ishida colorbar, and that was it.

Then I was talking with a few of my dormmates about Tsukihime last semester, and one of them mentioned "Oh hey, I know Kohaku, I'm in a livejournal game where she's Joshua's maid!" And I went ". . . wait, which game?", because I remembered seeing camp's Kohaku threading with a Joshua. And it turned out that she was iyaaalilbro, and she promptly topped me into reading her canon and apping her maid.
