regarding a fireworks display: "it sounds like genocide"
yeah, I actually said that tonight. I swear I'm a good person, with only intermittent bouts of being absolutely horrible.
I leave tomorrow for Syracuse. I'll be in my apartment tomorrow night. it'll be really empty, but not for long. I probably won't have internet for a while either, until I figure out my wireless or until Shawn and I decide how we want to wire-up our apartment.
I'm not gonna update you on everything I've done in the last however-long since my last update. Variously, I've had some fun, I've been bored, I've washed and dried a lot of clothing, I've done a lot of packing, I've watched a lot of World Cup soccer on Univision (gol!), I've gotten angry, mostly in the very passive-aggressive sense at some people, family members and close friends alike. I think I'm ready to move and to let life down here in Maryland spiral out for the rest of the summer without me in it while I'm off taking classes, meeting new people and changing my life in Syracuse.
I have a short night's sleep on the sofabed ahead of me, followed by a long, very long drive on Interstate 81.
