Naka Kon

We went to an anime convention in Kansas City this past weekend, and it was Very Fun. There were something like 1,750 people there which was more than I expected. I didn't buy a whole lot except for a Kon (from the anime bleach) Plushie, a dalek shirt that makes fun of emo kids, and the Crouching Tiger Hidden dragon TV series on DVD. They got a good picture of you there, Steve. They got a nice one of Curtis, myself and Seth as well.

However, I disagree with you on the whole A-kon experience. I had more fun at A-kon than I did at Naka-kon, however, I visited more panels at Naka-kon and got more use out of them than I did at A-kon. The panel with Steve Bennett was a blast and I found out that my ex-boyfriend's (the one I spent so much time avoiding at Naka-kon and A-kon) soon-to-be wife knows Caitlin Glass personally. They both work at Funimation. Small world...

Anyways, there was talk on the A-kon page a while back about them spreading the hotel/con guests throughout the three towers instead of cramming us all on one side of the hotel seeing as how they had so many elevator problems last year. There's a lot of other things they're fixing that should make it more enjoyable for everyone. I'm thinking I may go back. Seth and Curtis have an interest in going so I guess I should get a hold of Todd, Dave or Meg and see if they've done anything yet. We were all gonna go to ACen... but the overflow hotel's last room was taken last night, so... no. That's out.

Anime St. Louis is in April if you're interested in going. Curtis, Seth and I are going to make a day trip out of it, I think.

Once again, Steve, you FAIL to let me know when you're coming into town.

Granted, the last time I was in the 'Burg I saw you walking to Hastings and didn't say hello but that doesn't count 'cuz I said so.

Sorry, that reply wasn't for you. I've forgotten how to use LiveJournal.
