hmmmm

Well, I've been pondering a lot recently about where I fit into my faith,

this all started after a lot of bad stuff that happened to my mom because of the Catholic Church a few years ago, when my Dad died. What basically happened is a few priests and the Kansas City area Bishop showed their true colors, and crushed both of us with mistrust (I wont talk about it here, if you want to know about it speak to me personally). This mixed with my general dislike of the new Pope, fundamentalist treatment of women, and rigid laws that are not clearly spelled out in the bible, but everyone tries to force them on everyone else. This was back in 2004, and I've been waffling around since. I even kept up with a few Dogmatic rituals I felt that I needed to do (like Lent), but this has waned.

for a few years now I've been reading up on Gnosticism (not agnostic as everyone tries to assume when I talk about it) and I really agree with a lot of stuff they say. A few Gnostic books are even in Bibles from around the world, The Book of Enoch and Jubilees, for instance, are featured in the Ethiopian Orthodox bible, but are seen as Heresy in a lot of other places....

I recently found out that there are modern practitioners of this "dead" offshoot of Christianity that was almost wiped out in the 3rd Century, and that made me happy.

I won't preach about it on here, but from now on I'd consider Myself a "Gnostic Christian".
