AHHHHHHHHH!
Sorry this is going to be a bit of a rant as I need to vent everything that has happpend in the last 45mins before I expolde and kill one of the admin people in my office with my bear hands.
About 45 mins ago I an email when round about half the office saying not to worry if you can find some of you jobs it just cause X admin (she will be X an X admin if I have anything to do with it) is moving files around on the server to bing it up to the new office standard. ok for the non tec minded of you out there the are about a 1,000,000 problems with doing this during office hours. I was in the process of emailing back to say that it a bad idea when it begines. One of the other guys in the office come and asks me to help him he has been nessing about for 30mins and he cant get it to work. When I check it turns out that 30mins ago X started to move files hence his problem, with in about 5min from then everyone starts to have problems. I call up X admin who is in the leeds office (which means she is doing all this file moves remotly through a slow connection!) to ask what she is doing, and try and explane why its a bad idea. I get told that they had checked with our tec-suport people and they said it would be fine. I try and explane all the reason why its a bad idea again and get a stone wall 'well we are almost done', I stop so I dont end up shouting. I spend another 5mins going round check if people are haveing problems and getting them to save there open work to there 'C' drives just encase. There are so many problems that I end up phoneing X Admin and TELLING HER to change it back I dident like haveing to TELL HER but she wasent listening.
So now I have to wait till she gets back in and try and camly explane why it needs, to happen out of hours, loacly, every one needs to know about it, and it needs to happen in a structured way.
Am I a bad person?
