Gee, I almost feel guilty but...I have about 11K words right now, and I deleted a couple thousand yesterday, completely nuking one of the later chapters that I thought I wanted, but as it was getting written I fell out of like with it, it didn't do anything for the story...so it ended up on the MSWord equivalent of the cutting room floor.
Here's my suggestion: Get new-agey about it, and apply the 'Law of Attraction' to your project. The law of attraction basically states that what you think about and focus your energy on, will expand and become reality. And be careful about what you think about! Wayne Dyer put it best (IMO) when he said: "You will never get rich by thinking about how much you hate being poor, because if you focus your attention on hating being poor, what will happen is the universe will just keep giving you more hating being poor."
In your case, don't focus on thinking it's not going to work, or that you've bitten off more than you can chew...put your thoughts on working on it and getting it done. You wrote an AMAZING (and freaking heartbreaking!!) story last year, so it's clear to me you can do it. Now just keep telling yourself that until you believe it :)

Thanks for the suggestion! I think I'll test it first, and start thinking about being rich.
