Okay. Can somebody PLEASE tell me WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH ALL THE PENGUIN MOVIES?!?Seriously. In the past two or three years there've been an inordinate amount of penguins on the big screen. I saw one movie, I'll admit it. Happy Feet. But Jesus. I have NO idea where this obsession came from. THERE ARE PENGUINS EVERYWHERE!!! EVERYWHERE, I TELL

Yeah... Some of my other friends have complained about that.

It's just like anything. When someone catches on that x = money, then everyone wants to do/make/sell x.

But...why penguins?! It's so random!! Why not squirrels? Squirrels are infinitely more awesome!!!

And because everyone loved the penguins in Madagascar, even though they had a minor role. There was even a Christmas short produced on them.

That is true...I remember how awesome those penguins were. How strange that they should spawn an obsession, though! People loved the squirrel in Ice Age, but no obsession came from that!

I was unaware of the Christmas short. Was it any good?

Also, forgive me if this is rude but I must know to satisfy my own curiosity and make sure I refer to you correctly; how do I know you?

The Christmas short was cute, hilarious and touching. I think it's one of the special features on the Madagascar DVD.
