(no subject)
I had a lovely trip home to GA a week or so ago... it just didn't feel like I'd gone anywhere once a coworker dropped me off back at home. I got to see the Precious baby kitty, a bunch of my awesome friends, my family of course, and my adorable god-son! He sure is a handful, haha, but I love him to death. I hope Erin can come out here and bring him along.
Our 1 yr anniversary was on the 8th, so my parents took Mike, my brother, Sara (Hale) and her hubby, out to dinner at this restaurant called Pitty Pats Porch, which is based on the Gone with the Wind novel. Then we proceeded to head up to the Sun Dial for dessert and after dinner drinks. It was quite lovely, and was a great reinactment of two Valentine's Days ago when my parents and I went on a double date there before Mike's deployment.
My promotion is formally kicking in tomorrow apparently. I am really having mixed feelings about it. The next month or so is just going to be dreadful anyway due to lack of staff members, but it also doesn't help that two of my tenants have sneakily gone behind my back and told my Executive Director complete lies. Or rather they conveniently misinterpreted my words and used them against me. Now he's wary of my performance.... *rolls eyes* Right. I love a boss who believes tenants over his own employees. *sigh* We'll see how it goes. I'm just glad they're letting me stay where we're living... at least for now! Anyway...
I'm excited about next weekend.... HARRY POTTER!! I've seen the movie now twice, and I suppose the second viewing is making me warm up to it. The first time I watched it I was extremely disappointed. It just makes me wonder how on earth they're going to cover the intricate plot of the next two movies!
