(no subject)
So I went to my first local show here in Reno last night---and by the time 10pm rolled around I was dying to go to bed, lol. Geez, old people schedules! In any case, the headliner was Lacuna Coil over at this place called Stoneys. They were pretty good and Mike has a cd or so of theirs, but I think I'm going to have to listen to those to gather what they're really about. They had the instruments so damn loud it drowned out the vocals.
My favorite band was the 2nd to last one---from The Netherlands. Their name was... well... something Temptation. They actually had it together with the sound balance, and the lead singer had a beautiful voice. Plus, she wasn't dressed all Hot-Topic-ish, so that was a change.
In any case, we rolled over to Denny's after with Big Mike and chilled there for awhile. My rear end was in bed at 1:15am, though... uggh. Now it's off to work for my meeting with our big, cranky boss, hehe.
