So anyone want to trade places and send me to some warmer climates? There's like 2 inches of snow outside, more on the way, and I hate it. It'd probably be more tolerable if I didn't have to shovel it around the complex for the handicapped units (last night was a failed attempt---got covered right back over!). Anyway, someone take my snow away, thanks!
A rant: The other day I was having to add a new baby to the household of one of my tenants. Normally this might be ok, but the head of household is a freaking grandma, ok? She's in custody of several of her grandchildren, as the mother is a druggie. That aside, no... she's not the grandmother to another kid, but now she's a GREAT grandma. *bugs eyes* And mama is the 14 yr old grand-daughter! WHY!?!?!? Really... someone tell me why this society is so screwed up that 14 yr olds having children is slowly becoming the norm? Oh, and then there's the 15 yr old neighbor who's in the same boat--new mama.
What were you people doing at those ages?? Personally, I might have been the biggest perv on the planet, but there was no way I was actually going to go and do anything of that nature! I was petrified of it! I was too busy playing soccer, being a "normal teenager," and just starting to get interested in the opposite sex--kind of. Uggh. And now they're an extra drain on society as our tax dollars fund their stupidity and inability to parent their own children when it's most needed!
What's worse than that? PEOPLE WHO CAN'T AFFORD KIDS WHO ARE TRYING TO HAVE KIDS! Whoa dang... sore spot with me. I get people all the time coming in wishing they had extra money, telling me they can't pay their bills, always complaining that they're broke and can't do anything (or maybe it's just that they don't want to make the effort, but whatever), but then the next thing out of their mouths is that they're gung-ho about making more babies! Holy shit! Im glad breastfeeing worked for the first 5 kids, but you're screwed if it doesn't work out this time! Of course then there are the people that haven't had any yet but are in a huge fantasy bubble world when it comes to the revelations of how expensive kids are and will be! *shakes head* Sure there's not really ever a great time to have kids, as you'll never be truly set financially for them, but I do believe God will provide---provided you're not a complete moron and actually pay all your bills on time and might be able to save just a little each month.
I would like to smack some people.
