Ebuyer

Ordered some RAM from Ebuyer a couple of weeks ago, was in a fairly big rush for it as the mail server at work was down.
When I went to print off the invoice this week for our accounts department, the billing address was wrong (it was for my old company, I think I used the same ebuyer account when purchasing RAM for them).
I phoned up to get this changed to the correct address, so it would match the delivery address and the credit card address.
This simple request seem to be beyond them. I was told that to change the billing address was:
Illegal (when I asked under what law, they could not answer, surprisingly)
Physically impossible (I did ask if the invoice was electronic or etched in slate or stone)
against procedure as the billing address matched the credit card address (I tried to point out that this was not the case as the credit card had no connection whatsoever with the billing address, but they told me it was an issue I had to take up with the credit card company???)
They were then exceptionally unhelpful and gave me only 1 option, return the RAM and then reorder it.
It was beyond them to simply change the address or even raise a credit note and a new invoice, something most companies would be happy to do.
Some people are idiots and seem to think an invoice is some kind of legal document or contract and once they press "print" it is all of a sudden the breath of God. This however isn't the worst I've dealt with, once a company invoiced us for work they hadn't yet done for us. The invoice  details were wrong so I asked them to correct it, I was told that it was impossible to correct. The only way to fix it were if we paid for the invoice under the wrong company name, got it refunded and then they create a new invoice for us to pay??? They changed their mind when we countered their argument with an equally unhelpful "we can't pay an invoice for a company who isn't us".

I've used Ebuyer for a few years and found them usually very reliable, but I've never had to deal with their customer service department before, as such the risk of me having to deal with that department again is greater then my desire for cheap laptops.

Has anyone dealt with the customer service department from any of the other big competitors? Scan, Play, Dabs etc?

ebuyer terrible customer service
