pet peeve
you ever know someone who loved to finish your sentences? Or really, they just finish the LAST word of the sentence, as if it proves that they're listening to you. Somewhere, these people learned that in order to display interest, when you finish with the word:
"Catastrophe"
they have to say
"-trophy".
It's so fucking annoying. There's this guy in my Intermediate Dynamics group who does it for everything I say.
I say, "You hear about that astronaut who tried to kidnap her lover's wife?" And he says:
"ife!"
Like a dog or something, which makes sounds so that you think they're agreeing with you.
Man, this gets my goat. I've known many other people who, besides this one little thing, were great people and I just couldn't
bring myself to respect them. I just want to tell them to STOP FINISHING MY SENTENCES.
