Punta Cana Vacay!

My birthday vacation was fantastic!! We had such a wonderful time. The weather was perfect. It only rained once. We were walking back from dinner and the sky just opened up and started to pour. We thought about running but were already soaked, so we just walked along in the rain holding hands. It was kind of funny and romantic. It stopped about 3 minutes later and that was all the rain we saw.

Our days consisted of sleeping till 11 or 12, going for brunch, laying by the pool for a few hours, shower, watch Gilmore Girls, then dinner and a moonlit walk, usually on the beach. And yes, I said watching Gilmore Girls. I turned it on the first day when we just got back from the pool and were gettign changed. Jay ended up watching it, and oddly enough, getting into it. From that day on we had to watch Gilmore Girls everyday at 5. He wanted to know if Luke and Lorelei ever got back together, lol. I think I'm going to buy him a couple of the seasons on dvd for Christmas ;)

I can't say enough good things about this resort. It was fantastic. The restaurants, including the buffets, were so classy. The atmosphere was like that of a 4* downtown Toronto. There were all these cool outdoor lounges around the property too. With big circle chairs, lounges and comfy couches with canopies around them. The drinks were soooo good. I got addicted to Bahama Mamas.

The resort had a bunch of little pools and 2 huge freeform ones. Our fave spot was a bay where it was like walking into the water at the beach, it slowly got deeper as you went. I'd just lay in the shallow water for hours and sun tan. I'd take a break to visit the swim up bar every once and awhile of course ;)

My birthday was wonderful. We spent some time on the beach, and by the pool. Then we had an a la carte dinner at the American Grill steakhouse. When dinner was over all the lights in the restaurant went off. I was like WTF? Then the whole wait staff comes over to our table singing happy birthday in english and spanish! They had an entire cake, covered in candles. It was the most delish seddert I had the whole trip! It was a very special and memorable 25th birthday.

The vacation definitely made mine and Jay's relationship better. We got along so well the whole time, and never got sick of eachother. When he went home on Monday I wasn't ready to say goodbye! We are so much closer now and I'm very excited for us to move in together, hopefully before teh end of the year!

I'me specially excited because Jay had finally said it's okay if my kittens live with us. He was so against it before, because he's extremely allergic to cats. On Sunday night we stayed at my house. Originally I'd shut the cats out of the room so they wouldn't make Jay sick. About 3 minutes later we heard them crying at the door. Then they start running and throwing themselves into the door, which is what they do when they really want into a room. All of the sudden Jay goes "just let them in" I was like "What??" And he goes "Let them in. It's their house. They shouldn't be locked out. Plus, they missed mommy and want to see her." So I ask a few times if he's sure, get him a reactin and open the door. The cats burst in and right away jump on him. I think he's gonna get pissed but instead he starts cuddling and petting them. All night he was like "Aww it's so cute. Brady is sleeping between my legs" "Oh Bailey is resting his head on my shoulder" I thought I had brought the wrong man back from Punta Cana. He was also commenting on how affectionate they are, and how he thought only dogs were like that. Obviously he's never spent much time with any cat. In the morning we were laying in bed and out of the blue he says "Make sure when we get a place in Calgary they allow cats..." I was like "WHAT?!?" And he said "First and foremost I want you in Calgary... then I want your cats. I see how happy they make you and how loving they are and I cant make you leave them behind. I'm not making any promises but let's get a place that allows cats, just in case" I was shocked by am very happy that their cuteness finally got to him ;)

I'll stop rambling, and end with some pictures from
