A Meme? Here? That's Just Plain Poppycock!
So I got tagged to do a meme by Deanna, which requires me to divulge twenty facts about myself to the online community here. Yeah...

1.) I have to do laundry. Desperately.
2.) I have this growing obsession with drinking Nantucket Nectars, especially the Cranberry and Grapeade flavors. Actually, a bottle is sitting beside me, half full, as I write this entry.
3.) Most people know me as a video game junkie and that’s a title I’m okay with having. The first game I remember playing was Hoyle’s Classic Card Games in the later 80’s (I used to play Old Maid); the first game I fell in love with was Super Mario Brothers. I wanted an NES of my own, but fearing that games would eat up my life, my parents settled on buying me a Game Boy. The rest, they say, is history.
4.) On a similar note, I have been a loyal Gamestop employee for four summers and counting. Although I plan on applying for an internship with EA Games this summer, they’re always my backup plan to make it five years of selling games in the beautiful town of Springfield.
5.) I drive fast but carefully. I’ve only driven my BMW, which rides low to the ground, so if you were to put me in a pickup truck I’d go flying off the road at the first tight turn.
6.) I despise the romantic poet Heinrich Heine. If you’ve read anything decent by him, you should thank your English translator because the original German beneath that glossy meter is subpar.
7.) I still harbor an obsession for everything from the colonial American time period. On Thursday I had an opportunity to explore the 18th Century art wing of the MFA and when I’m not reading for school, I’m working my way through 1776.
8.) Furthermore, I’m writing a historical fiction piece set in the colonies and I have been working on it for roughly four years now. Right now it’s undergoing its third rewrite and is at 30,000 words.
9.) I want to visit the U.K. someday. Half my ancestry hails from there.
10.) My favorite color is blue. My favorite movie is The Empire Strikes Back (yeah, I like Star Wars) and my favorite television show is Arrested Development. My favorite three games go as follows: Final Fantasy Tactics, The Longest Journey, and Quake III.

I know when Deanna reads this, she’ll be mad that I only chose to write ten facts about myself, but at least I sat down and reached the halfway mark. I feel proud and that’s all that matters.
