Back to School Time

It's hot, and I'm not enjoying the shift in weather. My mom reminded me that it could be so much worse - I could be in New Orleans - but all I can think of is the here and the now and sometimes I feel myself longing for the air conditioning that Shelton Hall provided me.

My room in general leaves something to be desired. It's small, surprisingly so for a single, with a room that measures roughly five feet by ten. Even Henrietta gets bored exploring it. The building itself is located at a busy intersection, so should I prop my window open, I'm immediately greeted by the sound of cars honking and angry rap music wafting up into my room. However, not everything is terrible; my closet is big and I have satelite television. And to reiterate a previously stated fact, I live in a single. Life isn't all bad.

It takes a few days to become reacclimated to the hectic pace that Boston brings, I'll admit, but the adjustment to change is coming much smoother than it had before. I'm already blindly crossing streets again - a must in this city. My feet protest the great lengths I've walked these past couple days, but as long as I'm using them for strictly walking and not kicking some belligerant Red Sox fan, I'm not going to complain too much.

Melissa, unfortunately, missed her bus and couldn't come see Deanna and me. However, Deanna's still coming and I have something planned for the two of us to do, so things should run smoothly tomorrow.
