Bringing someone along?: Mr. Mew, a plushie that Shiki can control using psychokinesis.
Character History:
Wikia over here~ The importance of Mr. Mew to Shiki wasn't expounded exactly in the Wikia (and it shall be written here instead). Mr. Mew was the first thing Shiki ever sewed. She admits that he doesn't look that good (if Neku remarking that he looks like a pig than a cat are any indication) but he has a lot of sentimental value. If it weren't for the plushie, Shiki wouldn't have started to sew for real. Her best friend Eri saw Mr. Mew and was amazed by Shiki's talent. Together, they started to make clothes, Eri was the one who made the designs while Shiki was the one who sew them together and brought life to their creations.
Personality:
Prior to entering the UG, Shiki was harboring a lot of self-doubt and insecurity. She was very shy and an introvert but she was opening up a little more when she met Eri. As much as she loves being Eri's best friend, Shiki couldn't help but feel jealous. Eri was cute, popular, and talented, everything Shiki felt she was not. One can imagine her surprise when she takes Eri's appearance in the Reaper's Game. Her initial shock wore off, embracing the fact she doesn't have to herself anymore. She can be "Eri", not Shiki anymore.
One can say being in the game gave Shiki a chance to start over. Being in Eri's body gave Shiki a new sense of confidence. It was her who took the initiative of making Neku her partner, making it seem she was rather pushy and foreceful when needed to be. She definitely acted more cheerful and outgoing during the first days of Week 1. But as the story went on, we see tiny glimpses of Shiki's real personality.
She is the type of person who would go out of their way to help someone who's in trouble. This showed when she and Neku came across 777, the lead singer of the rock band Def March (They couldn't get their concert going because their tech went missing). While Neku didn't want to waste time meddling with 777's affairs, it was Shiki who urged him to listen first. She said that sometimes that all people needed was somebody who would listen to what was troubling them.
It was also upon Shiki’s insistence that Neku used his psychokenesis pin to help people who were using Reaper Creeper as a tool for advice. Even though their current situation was dire, Shiki always looked at the brighter side of things. In the second day of the first week, a Reaper named Uzuki tricked Neku into trying to erase Shiki. She forgave the boy, saying that the Reaper made him do it and she should have stood up for herself better.
Shiki can sometimes come across as a ditz. For the mission in Day 3, she didn't even realized they were already inside A-East (to be fair, the lights weren't even on). There was also time after a Support Reaper tells them instructions on how to clear the wall, Shiki says they needed to clear the Noise in the area, stating the obvious (much to Neku's annoyance). Shiki also has a tendency to spazz over things. When she and Neku saw Eri at the Crossing, Shiki panicked and suddenly ran away, afraid what of what her friend had to say about her.
One of the reasons Shiki and Neku butted heads during the first week was because she continuously kept nagging him about his anti-social behavior at the beginning. If she feels that Neku was being rude or being completely hardheaded about something, she will not hesitate to call him on that.
Out of all of the partners Neku had in the Game, Shiki was the only one who held the trends and fashion (aka their equipment and armor) to the highest regard. She's passionate about fashion and she's proud to let it show.

Character Abilities:
Besides the Player Pin that lets you scan people and prevents Players from being scanned, you see that seemingly harmless cat/pig plushie Shiki is seen carrying around during the first week? Would you believe that's actually her psych? Mr. Mew's movements are controlled by a Psychokenesis-type pin called the Groove Pawn. He grows claws, swiping at Noise and Reapers alike. He's pretty agile to boot and is able to defend Shiki when she's being attacked from the opposite end of the battle field.
After Mr. H gives the partners a special pin, Shiki and Neku can now do what was called "Fusion Attacks". Now, what are these ~magical attacks~ exactly? Basically, there are three levels of transformation for Mr. Mew. Level 1 fusion has Shiki, Neku, and Mr. Mew attacking all of the Noise. Level 2 has Shiki and Neku riding on the plushie while it plows through the enemies. Level 3, the granddaddy of them all fusions, has a gigantic Mr. Mew firing lasers from his eyes while Shiki and Neku ride on his shoulders.
The only con about this is that the Players of the Game only have these powers while they have the pins on their person. No pins means that they are defenseless against the Noise and the Reapers.
For a more mundane type of skill, Shiki does have a natural talent for sewing. She was the one who made Mr. Mew and the clothes she's wearing when she ended up in the UG after all.
Possessions:
Besides the clothes on her back and the hat on her head:
Cellphone: It's a pink a cellphone that you have to flip open to reveal the phone itself. Has a picture of Shiki and Eri as its wallpaper.
Player Pin: A pin that has a white skull in the middle of a black background. This pin has a lot of uses. First, it serves as identification. You have this pin = you're a Player in the Reapers' Game. It can scan people (i.e. read minds) and prevent from you being scanned as well. It also has the ability of imprinting subliminal messages via "memes" or words that are sent to the Player's cellphone. The only ability that won't work in Splendo is imprinting.
Groove Pawn: The pin Shiki uses to animate Mr. Mew.
Mr. Mew: Shiki's plushie/psych. He only moves when Shiki activates the Groove Pawn pin.
Anything else:
For some reason, Shiki just can't stand it if a thread or a button is out of place in a piece of clothing. She even made Neku take off his shorts in the middle of the street just so she can sew back a button that came loose. Sure, they were invisible but really. The girl has no shame sometimes.
And for the record, MR. MEW IS NOT A PIG. He's a cat. A C-A-T. B|
