So far, it had been a typical day for Mildred. She was enjoying her breakfast when suddenly she felt strange. Her skin felt slimy, just like it had when she had been a frog. She was horrified as her skin began changing to pale green color. She knew exactly who was doing this to her. It was Ethel. She was always up to no good, especially when it came to Mildred.
"I can't believe you," Mildred wept pointing at her skin. "Turning me into this … thing."
"Honestly, it wasn't me this time," Ethel admitted with a laugh.
"I was with her all day," Drusilla added snidely, "I never seen her chant a single spell."
"Sure," Mildred rolled her eyes. "Just who was it who enchanted a broomstick to make me destroy a festival? Who turned me into a frog? You did this! It smells the same."
"Those were cleverly planned and served a purpose," Ethel pointed out. "Why would I waste a skin changing potion to turn you green? It would be completely pointless in my book."
There was no use to talking to Ethel. She always denied her misdeeds. Mildred stormed off.

"Enjoying your day?" Maud giggled.
"No," Mildred grumbled. "Ethel is up to her old tricks again."
"It wasn't Ethel," Maud smiled deviously.
"How do you know that?"
"It was me," grinned Maud. "Happy April Fools!"
"Maud?!" Mildred exclaimed in disbelief. She was the last person she expected to be pulling pranks on anyone.
