Ever since she met Ethel, Drusilla had been fascinated with young witch. Ethel was at the top of her class, with minimal effort. But it was natural for one from the Hallow family to excel at magic.
Drusilla wanted Ethel to mentor her in witchcraft, more than anything. But it was like talking to a brick wall. Ehtel didn’t want anything to do with her fellow students after Harriet’s betrayal. Drusilla didn’t blame the girl for being so stubborn about opening up. If her best friend always foiled her plans, she probably wouldn’t trust people either.
After trying practically everything, there was only one thing Drusilla hadn’t tried. A kiss, she was hesitant on the idea. If Ethel didn’t like it, chances are she’d want nothing to do with her ever again. But she had to try there was no other way.
Drusilla waited patiently in the hall where the sleeping quarters were located. She knew after potions class Ethel often went back to her room, unaccompanied.
Ethel made her way down the hall. Drusilla walked up to her and softly kiss her fellow student on the left cheek.
“What was that for?” asked Ethel, she didn’t sound happy or upset - just confused.
Drusilla’s cheeks turned a bright rosy color. She was speechless. She liked the kiss, more than she anticipated.
