Mai was about to knock on Ty Lee’s door but she stopped after she heard voices coming from within. It was Ty Lee and Azula, which wasn’t abnormal, but Azula voice was sweet and delightful, which was abnormal. Very abnormal.
It was a tone Mai had never heard from the princess before, nor probably ever would from her again. Mai wished Azula would speak to her with the same passion she spoke to Ty Lee when they were alone.
Mai was envious of the acrobat’s relationship with the princess. She wondered what Ty Lee had done to get spoken to with the sweetest voice Azula had. If she ever figured it out, she would love to try it.
