A sweet lullaby echoed in Azula’s ears. It was a melody she always heard from a distance. Her mother always sang it to Zuko while tucking him into bed. Azula wondered where the sound was coming from. It couldn’t be from her mother. That would be impossible, she was stilled banished.
Ty Lee and Mai were gone. They had mocked her. They had left her alone. It was just like when she was a child; her mother would only sing the lullaby to Zuko. She never stopped by her room to sing even a portion of the song to her.
