I happened to cycle to this Loyang TPK temple the other day, impressive structure.
Recently, they donated 3000kg of rice to the needy, but seems like someone else is shamelessly stealing the thunder, at least that's how it looks like in the report.
Grains of Love for the Needy

THE Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC on Sunday began handing out 3,000kg of rice to needy families in a bid to help offset rising food prices.
Officials said about 300 families will each receive 10kg of the grain, whose prices have jumped by as much as 30 per cent over the last two months.
A representative from the Loyang Tua Pek Kong temple, which donated the rice, said: 'We wanted to help since the temple is in this constituency and it's the first time we're giving out such a big amount of rice.'
Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean, who is an MP for the GRC, was at Block 299C, Compassvale Street, for the event, dubbed 'Grains of Love', together with other MPs for the GRC.
Mr Teo said: 'The price of petrol and the price of rice are going up, this is not something that we can control.'
The dramatic rise in rice prices has been driven by an increase in global demand, poor harvests and rising production costs.
Mr Teo said the Government has several programmes designed to help poor Singaporeans, including Central Provident Fund-related growth dividends, and goods and services tax (GST) offsets, along with handouts from ComCare and community development councils.
'Residents who need help can come forward,' he said.
