Glee "Never Been Kissed"
Thoughts on Glee:
Kurt gets first {real} kiss from homophobic closeted A-hole: and Gleeks across the nation go “CALLED IT!” including this one! Closeted case that took it out on the openly gay kid - that was so obvious from the start! Not a shocker to anyone who was paying attention and knew the studies on the amount of homophobic people that are really just externalizing their self-hate.
Darren Criss. OMG DARREN!!! YES, YES!!! *Spazes out* That was just as awesome as I thought it would be! YAY! And yay for him actually giving a damn about Kurt, that so far the relationship seems genuine and that Darren really, truly cares about Kurt (At least as a friend at this point). Unlike Jesse with Rachel last season, who was a plain out user. I don’t care that Jesse said he “kinda liked her” because his actions did not show any of that “like”. I cannot spazz enough about Darren this episode.
Teenage Dream. The Glee version of it was better then the original! That’s Darren’s voice for ya! (You’d think I was straight or something what with the way I’m spazzing over Darren! Lol!) And Blaine (Darren’s character) looking at Kurt while singing, that was just…so, so adorable! And Kurt’s face! He was firmly in “swooning mode”.
Coach Bieste: I really like her, she’s turning into a wonderful character and it’s nice to see another teacher there that actually likes the Glee Club. And her first kiss was with Will! =0!
Oh, real quick, backtrack: That scene where Kurt and Blaine are running down that corridor at Blaine’s school while holding hands? Cheesiest. Scene. Ever. I was laughing, it was so cheesy! But, strangely, it worked…
Mash-ups! The Girls’ mash up was hot. Whew girls…sexy, sexy clothes with wonderful voices! I almost wanted Kurt in there just to see how he’d fit in…but oh well. At the base, Kurt is a boy. Even if the writers can’t seem to decide if they’re writing a gay man or a transsexual. (No, I’m not referring to the fact that he knows fashion, takes care of his skin, blah blah. I’m talking about the fact that several times he has come out and said that he is an “honorary girl” and that twice now when the girls and boys get into groups he goes to the girls. There’s a ton of other stuff, but that’s neither here nor there.) The guys’ was sweet and served as a great apology, but I think the girls definitely won this round.
Sam/Quinn: Yes, I KNOW Sam is not Kurt’s bf, even though “Sam” was totally the name they gave us at first, but still….Sam and Quinn should not be dating. Quinn needs to have some time to herself, to discover who she is and become comfortable with herself. She had a lot happen last year, she really needs to be by herself to be comfortable with who she is.
Blaine/Kurt: Like I said earlier, I really like that this relationship doesn’t look anything like the Rachel/Jesse disaster and I hope that after New Directions wipes the floor with Blaine’s glee club (Oh, please, they so will. Blaine’s voice is amazing, but his Glee club and Vocal Adrenaline have the same problem: It is one singer with background “ooooes” and “ahhhes” Only the all boy cast doesn’t have VA’s amazing choreography to save them. GRAIN OF SALT: We have seen ONE performance of Blaine’s all boy Glee club.) Anyway, I hope that when Sectionals comes up and New Directions wins that Blaine and Kurt will still be together. Because that would be awesome….especially since that means we’d see more of Darren!
Artie/Brittney: Well…at least he’s over Tina?
Puck: Knew he got his ass kicked in Juvvie. But, at least he’s back.
Mike/Tina: “Bieste” EPIC. Even more epic then when Sam said it to Quinn! And I really, really like these two together, they're so cute!
