ITV Live&Unsigned.
Today I got woked up by Priya yelling AHHHHHHHHHHHHH by text.
I was two hours late for school.
Then I just went in tor Pd3 Psychology.
I missed Bio pd4 and quickly went home to get my stuff.
Then I met the band at the station and we went off on our journey =]
Tooooooo the sound checks for Live&Unsigned.
Aly James and Melissa came with us.
Tom Matt and Daniel whipped eachothers bums with toms scarf, all the way there.
Gays.
When we got there we signed in, gave our ticket money in and all that
checked out backstage dressing rooms and all that
i straightened matt and daniels hair, and styled toms hair.
the stage manager was a bit of a turd.
the soundcheck was pretty rushed and unprofessional.
We sat around in the dressing rooms for a bit.
Then I went to pick Priya up from the station, met danny, william and chi on the way, so they came with.
Priya got there and she had bought me Babybel cheese as good luck, but I wasnt allowed to eat it..
Walked back and everyone took their seats
I had to go backstage and sit in the dressing rooms.
Pretty mad butterflies and had only ate a Twix all day.
And when Tom gave me some beer to loosen up, it really didnt go down very well.
I threw up =D EVERYWHERE =D
And somehow the n00bs in the audience found out within about 30seconds of throwing up
and Priya sent Aly to give me some gum. Even though I had my own cherry airwaves.
We were on 18th out of 20 acts.
Before the show got started, and after I'd thrown up, I was pacing the corridoor backstage
and all i heard was
"LEVEL. HEADED. LEVEL. HEADED. LEVEL. HEADED."
I ran in to our dressing room and told the guys that everyone was going mad for us
we ran out and tried to make our way to the stage but got stopped buy the stage manager
"NONONO DONT GO OUT THERE, THEY'RE GONA GO MENTAL"
What a pussy.
That was epic.
Nuria text and called a few times to see how everything was going =]
she said she prayed so much that her hands hurt!
When our turn finally came, it all happened pretty fast
all these people with headsets and walkie talkies and clipboards were grabbing us and running with us to the stage curtain where we had to enter from.
We got on and everyone started chanting again as we were setting up our gear.
The presenter made everyone shutup LOL
then out of nowhere, unsynchronized to everything else, Priyas teeeeeny voice "DINA. I LOVE YOU!"
We played our new song that I wrote, Backseat Romance.
It starts with drums
daniel started and we all came straight in, but some sound engineer told daniel to stop..
but the rest of us didnt know so we carried on
and then daniel carried on
so it was fucked from the beginning..
then jo's string broke =/
and we were both sharing one amp which was really dumb of the sound technicians..
it was actually terrible.
the crowd were amazing, we raved around enough on stage, but the song was played terribly.
we came off really thinking we hadnt got through.
then it came to the announcement
we were the first act to get through =D
we went up on stage and everyone screamed. it was amazing
four acts got through, out of 20.
when the four acts were standing on stage
all i saw was danny aly and william run down the two stairways towards the stage, looking very drugged, running very fast
they jumped onto stage and hugged us
danny punched me in the neck when he went to hug matt
the stage manager went mad and kicked them all off, almost taking matt and I with.
LOL
We all had to clear out after that
A bunch of us got back on the train to london bridge, to get the northern line
Priya got off at Euston and got the train back to milton keynes.
I got home, filled my mum in on the show
Dad got back from his meeting in germany, and then i told him too.
very tired.
