yesterday i wenton an american psycho fest. i find it very hard to resist finding the audio commentarys and special extras incredibly attractive and insightful when its on movies i've put up on a pedestal for so logn it's so nice to hear someone else with some input on it. and who likes the movie more than the people who made it?
few.
but i do know that i should attempt a re-reading of the very very graphic and controversial novel by Bret Easton Ellis again someday. i've been thinknig about tackling that and Lathe of Heaven by Ursula Leguin again.
Anyone interested in dreams and really surreal lifescapes should really try that out. it's an amazingly good book and i've got teh quotes fromt eh starting of each chapter that i used for an english presentation up on my door. changed my life, that book.
i don't want to go off on a schpiel about books and try to sound all superior here, so i'll stop myself from continuing that.
what i will so tho is this - go out and see american psycho. but do not see the sequel. Christian Bale - good. William Shatner -indescribably bad. Do not be tempted by the fact that girl from that 70's show stars in it. Do not judge a movie by its cover. you will waste time in your life you will never, ever get back. it will rape your corneas and defecate on your sensibilities.
and who wants that?
if you do, be myguest and rent it just don't say i didn't warn you.
