I came across this website a day or two ago that showcases various asian artists. It's called startdrawing. There's a fair amount of NSFW stuff on there, but there's a lot of really fascinating stuff showcased as well. I highly recommend checking out all 26 pages the site has to offer.
That's where I came across the sites of Hoon and Maggie. Really talented artists that make me sit up and take notice. I've always been fascinated by character design. Particularly the part of it that happens in between when someone writes a bunch of qualities on a piece of paper, and someone comes back with a portrait that pops out at you, just screaming their personality. I always get a rush of 'wish I could do that' going on.
