In addition to riding the 1923 L train and going to the Art Institute's medieval exhibit I finished up the week by going to the Museum of Contemporary Art's exhibit on Takashi Murakami.

And here I am looking dubiously at all of the smiling flowers:
A lot of the photos are just details of the paintings which spanned whole rooms. And that statue? Almost as tall as the very tall exhibition space.
I haven't been so excited over an art exhibition as I have been for Murakami's work. And I got to meet an old coworker and take a selfie with him!
S2E is such a character and it's always a blast running into him:
Today? I live without an a/c as the temps run up to the 90s. In a week or so I'll get a window unit and have management install it so that it's done properly and to their specifications. I've picked out several but they have to be delivered to the stores. So I'll call later in the week and pay for the one I do end up picking. Then! I'll put up a curtain rod between my living room and dining room so that I can keep the cool air in the one room.
