It's Been A While....
Okay, so I haven't posted in almost two months. It's really terrible, and I intend to get better about it.
A whole lot has happened. College is amazing. I got past that "I don't really like it" stage in about a week, but I think until this past week, I still didn't completely feel at home here. It was great, but I was still adjusting. I felt weird when I went home and everyone kept asking me if I loved it, and I definitely did love it, but there were still things that felt strange about it. It was weird explaining that to people. I felt like I was supposed to like it more or something. But since I got back here, it has just suddenly started to seem completely like home--good friends, good classes (at least most of them:)), good stuff.
I've had most of my midterms, and I have an A in everything but musicology, which isn't too bad. I'm taking ballet, which is random, but I love it! And, I'm taking a tap class at a studio in town. I've decided that I really want to get good at dancing. We'll see how that works out:) My voice lessons are AMAZING! I love my teacher and the kids in my studio are so amazingly talented. At first I was really intimidated by it, but now I'm just excited to be here. I feel really good about my decision to come here rather than Northwestern (which is something I always worried about regretting). I'm not in any shows or anything, but next semester, I'm definitely going to get involved in something. A student-run organization might be doing "Carousel," which would be fun.
The Michigan State game is next weekend, which is gonna be insane! The football games here are ridiculous, but they are sooooo much fun. There's always at least 100,000 people. We're 7 and 1, and our quarterback's a freshman, so we're gonnna be amazing in the next few years! At first I kind of wished I was at a smaller school, because Michigan's just so huge, but there are just so many things to do here. It's crazy.
Going home last weekend was great. It was so great to see everybody--I really miss all of my friends. And I'm excited for Thanksgiving when everybody'll be back from school!
