Ok, so it has been nearly an entire year (out by one day) since I last updated my journal. I have been checking in on LJ every week, I just haven't been updating. So why now? Well....it was on my "To-Do" list so I kind of had to (plus I'm procrastinating ahead of doing some OU work). I am going to try and get back to updating this journal more often, though for fanfic I'm going to be using my new journal a bit more (though sparxxa the fanfic writer will probably make an appearance again eventually)
Just a couple of quick points though to round off my re-emergence on the LJ-scene:
Cricket: Well, that was nerve-wracking but in the end the boys did it. England have beaten Australia in the first test of the Ashes...now just another four tests to go (in England and then another 5 when we head into the second part of this back to back Ashes series)
Rheumatoid Arthritis: So, I have the left shoulder of someone in their eighties (I'm 27) and if I was in my eighties I'd be having a full shoulder replacement. As I'm decidedly not in my eighties I'm just going to have some reparitive surgery instead (I'll admit it right now, I am terrified). This Friday I'm off for my first "Fitness for Anaesthetic" clinic/assessment appointments, so more updates as I get them.
Open University: I've passed my first module! I'm halfway through my second and I've just signed up for my third.
Choir: Last Sunday we performed our big 5th birthday concert at St David's Hall in Cardiff and we got to sing with West-End and Broadway star John Owen Jones (he was our special guest, how cool is that!) There are videos up on youtube of us performing "One Day More" from my favourite musical Les Miserables with him and really it was just an all-together fantastic night. (Though I wish someone would post a video of our "Addams Family medley", we worked damn hard on those dance moves-particularly Rigor Mortis!)
Cory Monteith: Such shocking and sad news. RIP.
'Til next time.
