CD Year 2

May 15, 2005 23:31

so last year I made a cd to reflect on and summarize my year. This year, I made a follow up CD, to summarize this year, my second year of college. Here is the list and the explanations of each song. They are chronological order of their time of significance.

1. I Woke up in a Car (Something Corporate) This song summarizes the summer before sophomore year of college. Woke up in a car/woke up under a car = same thing ;)

2. These are Days (10,000 Maniacs) Getting back to college and seeing everyone and meeting new people were the best days of the year.

3. Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy (Big and Rich) Best drunken singing song of the year. Many nights screaming this at the top of our lungs while driving around.

4. Always and Forever (Kip) A tribute to the best movie of the year.

5. White Houses (Vanessa Carlton) This has been one of my favorite songs of the year, but mostly it signifies the house search that we went through hell to pursue. "White houses" is kind of what we were symbolically looking for, but ended up with a brown house.

6. Collide (Howie Day) Somehow, I "collided" with Jim, the best thing to happen to me this year.

7. Set on You (George Harrison) Another drunken night song, reminds me of all the time i spent hanging out at sigma chi.

8. For the Best (Straylight Run) Words of wisdom and encouragement throughout the year. "I've become content with this life that I lead where I drink too much and don't believe in much of anything."

9. 3 am (Matchbox 20) The only song Jimmy will sing for me.

10. 8th World Wonder (Kimberly Locke) I fell in love this year.

11. Jammin (Bob Marley) Reminds me of the cruise and the sunshine and the beach.

12. Jet Black New Year (Thursday) The new year came and I fell asleep. It was very jet black.

13. Workout Plan (Kanye) New years day. Canada. Kamakazies.

14. Best Thing (Graham Colton) I found the best thing in my life.

15. Redneck Woman (Gretchen Wilson) Canada 2nd time. Karaoke. Fun times.

16. You're a God (Vertical Horizon) Going to church with Jim were some of my favorite times.

17. This Years Love (David Gray) This years love, it will last.

18. I'll Be (Edwin McCain) Reminds me of Amanda, this was our song for some odd reason.

19. No More Drama (Mary J. Blige) Moving out of the dorms and into my apartment, I got away from all the drama in my life.

20. Don't Stop Believing (Journey) 2 significances... Another good drunk song, and... Represents my perfect GPA and my admittance to the business college! ::)
