I have never been one to be gifted with words. That was always Dilios' gift. He moved my soldiers more than I ever could. Combat is my expertise, but unfortunately, that does not assist one in the art of writing ( Read more... )

King of SPARTA?!

AMAZING! To once again get a historical figure in a City such as this! Ah, the things you've seen, the things you could tell us...thrilling!

If Dilios were here, he could tell you things far better than I ever could.

Oh, you'd do just fine! Any first-person observation will do!

...Are you a historian?

((ooc; Poor Leonidas. He's using his Spartan reserve to its fullest so as to hide his uneasiness XDDDD ))

Oh, of a sort! I'm really more of a student...unless you count dabbling in geneology as being a historian! But I do find history facinating!

((OOC: XD Autor makes pretty much everyone uneasy once he goes into "OBSESSED SCHOLAR" mode.))

...I see.

As king, then, I suppose it is my duty to contribute to the histories...

What do you want to know?

((ooc; XDDDD I NEED to watch Princess Tutu. I've only seen the first episode D: ))

Oh! Wow! This is so THRILLING! What to ask, what to ask...um...well...
Hm...Do you have any regrets?

((OOC: XD Yes, everyone needs to watch MOAR TUTU! You won't even see Autor for a while, poor fellow...he gets some small cameos throughout the 2nd season, but he doesn't really get introduced until the last five episodes.))

...My only regret...

We Spartans generally do not regret things in our lives. However, when Xerxes sent his army of one million to beloved Greece, and there was only my three hundred Spartans and the thousand Arcadians that had joined us (they were cowards, and left at dawn of the third day...and people wonder why we Spartans are descendant from Hercules himself)....

My only regret is that I did not have more men to sacrifice for our noble cause. To have more men to fight and defend our beloved Greece. That is the only regret I have had in my entire life.

I see...

You're a noble man. There are few deaths I can think of more glorious than to die for your people.

We Spartans believe that dying on the battlefield is a glorious death, and the greatest glory one can achieve in his life.

...I think I like you, boy. You seem to be intelligent...you are like Dilios when he was younger. It is a comfort to know that there are people like him in this place.

Mm. Where I'm from, it's been hundreds of years since your battle, but Sparta is still considered a symbol of strength and courage.

Thank you, sir. That's an honor. I do have a love for words...
