Fandom Friday #6
So it's been a while since I've done one of these and technically, it's passed midnight over here, but it's the thought that counts, right? :D
So here are my Fandom Friday Recs:
1) Can Never Wrong This Right by theopteryx
Summary: It's 1949 and Dr. Way is a professor of Archeology and Frank is his constantly exasperated (and secretly pining) assistant. When their latest trek takes them to South America to locate the fabled Blood Stone, however, they both find more than they bargained for.
A homage to the Indiana Jones fandom, it also has soul bonding and adventuring! MalexMale pairing, but it's an awesome and fun read.
2) (Panic! at the Disco Almost Changed Their Name to) Fuzzy Kitten Cuddle Time by Dira
Summary: In which Jon Walker is sometimes a kitten.
Pre-split, but adorable bandom boys being kittens and how Spencer doesn't want to give in. It's a feel good read and you want to pet Jon all the time.
3) Kittens! At The Disco by awakeunafraid
Summary: Like I would just decide to make us both cats? That’s like me asking you if you did this!
Ryan and Spencer are cursed and wake up as kittens! Oh no! What will they do?!? Another animal transformation fic, but fun read. Give it a chance and get pulled into the realm of cuteness.
4) The Fall and Rise of The Black Parade by wordslinging
Summary: “I used to think this was Hell. I mean, I always figured that’s where I was headed, if there was any afterlife. And then when I got here…there were no lakes of fire, or anything, but I was stuck on my own in a place where nothing grows or changes, so I figured, okay, Hell’s just a little different than I always thought it would be. But then, after a while…it wasn’t so bad. I found a place where I could kind of belong, and I met Toro and Brian and Bob and Mikey…and you. And I figure…if I was in Hell, falling in love shouldn’t really be in the cards, should it?
So after that, I started thinking-okay, maybe this place isn’t anything I ever heard about in school or church. But then again, maybe it is. Maybe this is Purgatory. And I always had the idea that Purgatory was kind of like prison, y’know, you gotta serve your sentence and the only thing that’s gonna get you out quicker is good behavior or having friends in high places. But maybe-maybe you don’t have to just sit around waiting for someone to tell you your sentence is up. Maybe Purgatory ends when you get yourself out of it.”
It has themes of suicide and death, but it's a unique take on the world of The Black Parade.
5) What's New, Pussycat? by acroamatica
Summary: A person's choice of accessories can tell you a lot about them...
What can I say? I'm a sucker for an animal transformation fic and this one doesn't prove itself to the exception. Panic boys, a collar and Brendon, shenanigans ensue!
