Fandom Friday Fic Rec #1
Every Friday post up to a max of fics you want to rec once a week. Give links to the story a summary and a short blurb of what you recommend the fic to your friends.
I was thinking I was going to miss my first Fandom Friday Fic Rec. lol Silly maint!
Reading fanfic this week, I've noticed I've been in a Supernatural mood. So here are a few gems I've found and been re-reading the past few days.
So, here we go!
1) Amid Adversity by Daylight
Summary: The bloody pair glared at each other and uttered in unison, "If I let something happen to you, Dean will kill me!"
I like this fic just for the reason that we have some buddy fic going on here between Castiel and Sam. Most of the fics I've found have the two either glaring at one another or Castiel going 'abomination this and abomination that' and this fic was a refreshing change. They even team up against Dean at the end of the fic which was hilarious to read.
2) Carry On by sg2009
Summary: John's got a broken arm, Dean's fifteen years old and hurt, and the hunter they've teamed up with ends up reminding John of someone they know. There is some unexplained Sam time-travel in this story.
It's a nice little one shot from Dean's POV when he's fifteen and out of nowhere this guy helps out on a hunt him and his Dad were supposed to be going on. But I liked it because it had unexplained Sam time travel and John thinking the guy might be releated to them and Dean going all sad when the guy leaves and doesn't even leave contact information.
3) Common Ground by Hella
Summary: Based after 5x13. Lucifer finally pays Dean a sleeping visit, and finds they actually have a little something in common.
I found this funny because Dean and Lucifer find something in common when they compare families and Dean gets to let off some steam and ramble about smarmy dickish Angels. lol
4) Antichristo by Evergreene
Summary: Sam Winchester is the Antichrist. Except he's kind of bad at it.
This was a hilarious read as everything Sam does in a nice way, looks like he's doing something bad. Even accidental puppy kicking! A definate must read for wanting a good laugh.
5) Wayward Sons by belgium-morning
Summary: Harry Potter has always wanted a family that cared about him, that loved him in the proper way a family should. A startling discovery on his seventeenth birthday will send him to America to meet a man and his sons no one knew existed. How will they react?
Still not completed, but it is going strong. Just an amazing piece of crossover fanfiction of Harry Potter meets the Supernatural 'verse. It follows pretty closely with the end of season 1 and into season 2 and it has Harry Potter as the Winchester's cousin. I love this fic a lot and can't wait to see the next update. I will say this, it's not a super!Harry kinda fic, it pretty much follows a theme we see in the series, family.
