So I am officially in Residence now (though I am finishing the cleaning of the old apartment this afternoon... shouldn't be bad, just... scrubbing. Everything.) and I gotta say... I'd forgotten just how much it sucks.
Sure, sure, I lived in Rez for five years, and at one point, I thought it was awesome. But then I lived off campus, and even though our apartment had its problems (a washing machine that liked to break, mice, ice that formed on the insides of my window... you know, fairly normal stuff.) it was nothing compared to how much rez sucks. Holy hell, trying to get internet was vicious. And I'm really not "unpacked", I am "the essentials of life - and the dolls - are not in boxes, but everything else is."
Yep, Sparrow's old rant is back. Need a job. Need a house.
My journal is getting boring, huh?
So here's something NOT boring!
I bought Season One of the Original Star Trek series! Yeah, I know, it's awfully expensive, especially since I'm being all "wah wah I need work", but I made a deal with myself - instead of going to see Terminator, Drag Me to Hell, and the upcoming Taking of Pelham 123, I would buy this, instead. See, each of those movies would cost me $10, then another $10 in food, which would be up to $60, which is five dollars more than season one cost me with taxes included.
This deal with myself has nothing to do with Transformers, however. There is no way in hell I am missing that movie.
Also, the packaging for season one? The most ridiculously stupid thing I have ever seen. Yes, it looks all pretty and "Star Treky", but there are no labels on the dvds, so you have no idea which disk is what, and besides, this awkward style makes it hard to get the dvds, and it also did damage to the inside of the case! For frig's sake... how stupid can you get?
I may have to go back to Walmart, and buy the only season they have, which is three, cause they have it for about $30, and everywhere else has season one and two for $90. Thank goodness season one was on sale!
Well, I'm off to clean my old house. And grab some Wendy's or something to nom on. I really need to go grocery shopping.
