Perhaps the defining movie character of the 21st Century, Captain Jack Sparrow should need no introduction. Johnny Depp’s unique off-kilter performance won the hearts of many and guaranteed the success of Pirates of the Caribbean. Without him I have little doubt that the movie would not have been anywhere near as successful as it was. The character is funny, heroic, cowardly, insane, and a genius all at once. Endlessly quotable, he’s one of the most unpredictable and fascinating film characters you could ever hope to watch.
