A Revelation on Clubbing
It occurred to me last night that clubbing, when you are single, is only fun if there are single members of the opposite sex with you. I don't mean there in the club. Inevitably, anywhere you go, there will be all manner of single women, loose or otherwise, hanging around the bar in various states of undress/ drunkeness/ sluttiness. I mean just some single girls you know, friends, co-workers, just people you know, not even ones you are attracted to, just good mates who will be good company.
The reason for this is very simple: With a bunch of single guys, unless you're all power pullers (and I assure only 2 of the guys I know are and I don't tend to go clubbing with them for that very reason) you come off looking like weirdos, losers, idiots or perverts. If you go with a couple it's arguably worse because they spend the whole night all over each other and it's pretty much like the previous experience but you feel you should stick near to them because you know them, whilst simultaneously wanting to give them enough space so they can go get a room.
