ARGH!

Got another flame on fanfiction.net:

"And as for the whole Mordor/Iraq thing . . . read what Purple Leprechaun posted just before I posted this. Comparatively, they're in roughly the same place."

Actually, you are wrong. Since Minas Tirth was at the latitude of Florence, we can assume Mordor was maybe Greece, but more likely Turkey. If you notice, Turkey is also relatively the same place. However, Irag is too far south or it to have any connection. I suggest HoME IV. Brienna is not an Elvish name, as -a is not a feminine suffix in Quenya, Sindarin, Dorithrain, Telerin, Silvan or Ilkorin. Or any other Elvish languages. Tsk, tsk.

Old English, hey? Se cyning ne lufað ne bátas ne scipu!

And I am sorry, but Brinenna is a Mary Sue. Listen to other's, instead
of flaming them, when they offer their time and knowledge, instead of
rudely throwing back in their faces. Get a beta-reader.

I said:

Re: Mordor/Iraq. It was Melinda that said that. She could be wrong. Brianna is NOT an elvish name, and I never said it was. It happens to be Irish in origin. Elves didn't name her. A HUMAN named her. And I have stated that Brianna is not a Mary Sue. In essence, she is a self-aware parody of a Mary Sue. Besides, it's not spelled Brienna or Brinenna. It's B-R-I-A-N-N-A. And you can póg mo thuin!

I wonder, if she speaks Old English, if she'll understand the Gaelic . . .
