I can see how Purgatory would be almost like a trance; never letting up. The moment Dean stops saying, "Sam," and says , "Benny," and gets a response -- that's kind of heartbreaking. These stories make sense of Dean's fury at Sqm for not trying to find him as well as his loyalty to Benny.

I think Benny is really great, and Dean's relationship with Benny is so interesting, and so different from his relationship with Sam or Cas; I really hope the show isn't done with it just yet!

Oh, Dean. So much of what he's done he has shoved down so far inside and Purgatory would drag it all out, for sure.
