I am in Connecticut and I am having a great time!!!

Today I woke up and hung out with my mom. We went to the grocery store and stopped by my aunt's house to see pictures from the cruise they just went on. I got to see my aun't dogs as well. My aunt is looking tan and beautiful and healthy. I am really happy because I found out I was slightly misinformed as to her cancer situation. After she was diagnosed with breast cancer they also found a tumor on her lung and decided not to operate. The way my mom explained it I thought this meant they just could not do anything except wait for her to die? But I just found out that she is on hormones and some other kind of medicine and apparently her tumors are shrinking! I feel a little weird even writing about it and who knows what will happen but I am happy.

Anyway later my mom and i had lunch and colored easter eggs. Then we went out to dinner with my dad at this Mexican place "The Cookoo's Nest." We had margaritas and my mom said the following "I was drinking a lot of shots of Patron on the cruise." I told her that is what rap stars drink and she said "well, yeah, I am a lot like a rapper."

I have not mentioned it yet but I am wearing fleece. It actually looks really great. Speaking of which, I got my hair cut and even though it is a little shorter than I wanted it is good. AND after a year of talking about in (due to argentinian style inspiration) I have a braided tail in the back! Ha. I think I am going to put beads in it.

Anyway after dinner we went to a VFW hall where three (3) of my uncles were playing darts. The Perry's all had a beer and then we bounced. So many balding old men. I ran into my uncomfortably stoned out cousins too. I will see all of these people tomorrow when they come to my house for Easter. There is no real religous implications for my family, just the company I guess which is nice.

I am really happy but I am also really sad. Being here makes me think of my Connecticut buddies I probably will not see for awhile longer. My dad just walked into the room and gave me $100 dollars though, which is really nice. It will make up for (and then some) the money I just took out of my savings for my haircut. And I am drinking a vodka drink with this "paradise blend" juice.

What a family!
