(no subject)
I think today is good. I am wearing bright and deeply pink tights. I just ate my favourite brownie in the world. I do not really want to go to my last class mostly because I am tired but I cannot miss it because I want to hear about why Madhavi is arguing that King Richard (in Richard II) actually becomes Queen Richard by the end of the play.
Speaking of school here is a poem I really like that I discussed in a class today:
Ishmael Reed
Work is weird lately. I am sort of unhappy with it but mostly just have to not think about it too much, focus on the kids who are rad, and make it until June. I am having a problem with one girl in particular who I used to think was really great but now she seems to have a lot of attitude/anger directed specifically at me and I do not think it is warranted. But then there is the girl who, at 12, just wrote a 90 page story about a group of teenagers that are in school to become ninjas. So I mean, it is sweet. Plus there are the little nenes from next door who ask me to help them dig holes and build pretend fires.
Also I just remembered the most important thing...I saw my favourite tiny man Teddy the poodle this week. What a guy. He smells like sweaty balls a little bit (around his mouth and ears). But I love him anyway.
ps- I am learning Romanian. It is in preparation of potentially entering a comparative literature program in a couple of years...(Phd?!)
