Really enjoyable, realized just who Mr. Gregory was, greatly enjoyed the happenings and writing style, but especially this:

"those who knew him of old had recognised the steel in his eyes, and knew there was no way they could turn him from it."

Loved it. Sounded a little Tolkien-esuq too, in the phrasing.

I've been really enjoying this story, and while it's a little said to see it end, it's a very nice ending indeed. I especially love the couple lines. ^_^

I was a bit worried about this last bit, but, on re-reading, it's not as bad as I thought. I think I'm pretty happy with the story overall.
