To be honest, I haven't really searched..
but that is because I don't really know where to begin because I don't know the name of the fic or who wrote it!
I remember that Elizabeth was Pirate King and she had duties that she actually enjoyed doing, meanwhile dear William wanted soil beneath his feet.

This is the story where Jack and Elizabeth have to join souls for Jack to become his true self again. And Jack's father tells the tale of when Jack was a young child he ran off and did not show untill he got so hungry he had to come towards the town in search of food.
I'm rambling and I don't think I've given you all a lot of clues to help me, but I didn't want to give anything away if anyone had not read it. It was a beautiful story that I enjoyed very much and would love to re-read over the holiday break.
