"It's only up a little more ways, Jack, I think you can survive..."
"I'm not a bloody mountain climber, Lizzie!!!" Jack huffed, grabbing onto stones, heaving himself up and over the ledge.
Liz rolled her eyes and bent down to help the pirate up. He really was well suited for the sea- the woods didn't seem to agree with him. He had twigs and leaves stuck in his matted hair, and, if it was possible, his face was lined with more dirt.
Jack stood up and looked down at Liz. "Alright, now, wha' is I suppose ta look at?" he asked, his hands on his hips.
Again, Liz rolled her eyes. She grabbed his waist, which made Jack think of other things, and turned him around to see the beautiful sight before him. She looked over his shoulder, smiling at the awed expression on Jack's tanned face. She rested her head on his shoulder, taking the oppurtunity of being alone with him, and wrapped her arms around his waist, holding him close.
Jack closed his hands over hers, not taking his eyes off the sight before him.... it was breathtaking. The vibrant green trees were painted along a waterfall, and he watched the foam burble up underneath the falls, spanning out into the water, hitting his beloved Pearl. Sparrows flew around the black ship and up into the air, Jack's eyes following them as they danced through the treetops.
"Well?" Elizabeth asked.
Jack sniffed. "Could be better. I had to climb all the way up here, ye know. Doesn't seem worth it."
Elizabeth groaned in frustration. "How?"
Jack gently took her hands and guided her over to stand in front of him. He stepped back and marveled at the sight of the pirate lass standing against the beautiful scenery, her face scrunched up in confusion.
"There." Jack smirked. "NOW it's worth it."
Elizabeth smiled as Jack gently grabbed her lower back and pulled her in, her mouth meeting his own, dancing in rhythm to the forest around them. Her hands tangled themselves in his dreadlocks, pulling him closer, deepening the kiss. Jack gently cupped the side of her face, and felt her body close the gap between them. He gently pulled her down to the soft grass and kissed her with more passion.
Was it worth climbing all the way up here? Jack would have to say yes.
