As I was watching the premier of Big Bang Theory last night, I couldn't help but think "I want this as a Star Trek Reboot fic". AU, or canon somehow, but OMG I WANT IT

Jim is an adorable kind of obnoxious though, and Penny is adorable, so it works in my head.

(Also, I wouldn't say no to some Sheldon!Spock/Leonard!Bones....)

(I'm afraid I'm a bit of a Penny/Sheldon shipper so whatever happened I'd probably be rooting for that pairing, whoever's body they were inhabiting. Lol.)

(I really like Penny & Sheldon but not in a pairing. Sheldon is pretty much asexual for me, whcih works because I see Spock the same way--hotter than hot kiss with Uhura nonwithstanding--)

(Penny Sheldon usually doesn't work in fic BUT I don't think Sheldon is impossibly asexual and I also don't think sex is necessarily the key factor. I think it takes a lot of work and talent (way more than I have) to write a genuinely in character and effective Penny/Sheldon fic. However I find Leonard kind of annoying which puts me off him as a pairing for either of them. Clearly the only really viable OTP of the show is Raj/Howard. Maybe Sulu can be Raj because Raj seems quiet but generally a quite awesome guy,,, if you can get him to talk).

And actually, I think Sulu is too awesome to be one of the nerds....there are some inherent problems with this plan, but I think the right person could make it work.

Chekov is too adorable to be Howard. I think Scotty needs to be Howard. Chekov can be Bernadette and Sulu can be Raj and we can get Bernadette/Raj which would be been awesome.
