Hikau Drabble

We had a silly challenge over at jjverse to write hikaus for voting. Now that the voting is done, I can share mine. And the "fic" I wrote around it, all in hikaus. Let me tell you, if you think drabbling is hard, try drabbling in hikau form.



Jim Kirk and his Bones
Explored the final frontier
Along with their crew

Through danger and wars
Jim and his Bones fought for
Peace among the stars

when they were alone
late in the night in their rooms
Jim and his Bones play:

"eyes dark like whiskey
stubble rough against my skin
bones you are divine

you're ridiculous
infant disguised as captain
go to sleep moron

you love me bones don't
deny that I am your everything
you'd cry without me

you'll never prove it
a doctor not a poet
why do I bother

how long did it take
you to write that last hikau
admit you like it"

And then Bones tosses
down his PADD and jumps on Jim
hikaus forgotten

an hour passes
wet skin, warm kisses, time flies
Jim and his Bones play

Later, both sated
Bones triumphs in distracting
His captain lover

But Bones, he forgot
That Jim doesn't back down from
No-win challenges

The PADD beeps, ominous
Bones groans, glares at Jim
But can't help looking

bones you're a sex god
my body sings love songs in
praise of your mad skills
