"the 1st time you kill someone your mind is blown away"
so last night.
they started the show without me.
oh yes.
i'm stage manager. you are suppose to WAIT ON ME.
i was back stage giving "5 minutes places places" and the work lights were still on...and i hear... oh what else but the 1st sound cue, which is this Huge Helicopter sound that makes you cover your eyes because your ear drums will be blown away.

crap. the show is starting now.
i run to the light booth as fast as i can. and if i didn't have to go through the audience to do that, i would have been yelling up a storm.
i'm a nice stage manager. i don't yell. but this pissed me off. because of course it was might fault that when the curtain opened (without my cue still to say go) the whole time i'm "scream whispering" to turn the sound off and don't turn the stage lights on) it looked chaotic.
yes. i wanted to break down and cry and yell and blow my light-board operator's head off.
funny thing is. the show is about the Vietnam War.
