I Think I'm Back...
Whew. What a week. Attending a funeral on my birthday wasn't the best way to spend it, certainly but I will say that the memorial service was very nice - about 250 people attended, with about 50 going on to the actual burial.

In other news, a large part of my silence has been due to a clusterf**k by the company who J and I ordered a nice set of new office furniture from in JANUARY. We asked them not to deliver it until late April as you have to reposrt any missing or damaged items (the furniture is that really classy *lol* flatpack stuff - actually, it's very nice IMO) within 72 hours, so J had to be back to check it over as I'm fairly useless with that kind of thing.
So. Friday (April 25th) we dismantled the current office set up, unplugged the PC etc in preparation. Furniture shows up bright and early the following morning, when we're told that there's a couple bits missing but they'll deliver them by May 12th. Balls. So guess which bit is missing... yup. The freakin' DESK. We still don't have it (well, it's not May 12th) but sensing my growing inner pain at not having an internet connection at home J very kindly has done a temporary desk-type setup so I'm back online! YAY!
Went into Manchester today for my consultation for the laser eye surgery - all went well - got seen bang on time and the appointment took just an hour (the letter said to allow for up to 2 hours). The team there seem very nice and I've made the appointment to have the work done on Saturday June 14th. Means I'll have it done for the Alice shows in July, which I'm very pleased about!
And now I'm away to do some laundry. Oh, the excitement!
